The Lyma Birds have hatched and escaped the nest, and are creating havoc! Renowned as one of the most mischievous birds on the planet, the Lyma bird is close to extinction. Its up to you to help keeper Dr Janet Newbury round up all of the hatchlings and reunite them with their Mother before they disappear forever!
Save the Lyma Birds! is an interactive outdoor event that can be seen all over the festival as the audience can search for the hatchlings and come together again at the nest for a final performance to create a fun, family friendly spectacle. All spectators are encouraged to play games with the Lyma Birds and use Twitter and Facebook to share their experiences online using #FeatheryFriend.
“Save the Lyma Birds! was one of the most popular outdoor events we had at bOing! for both adults and children. The puppets made a huge visual impact and were beautifully constructed. We have had many comments and enquires asking us to bring the Lyma Birds back for bOing! 2015” - Liz Moran, Artistic Director of the Gulbenkian
